After a two-week private visit to France, President Bola Tinubu has finally returned to Nigeria.

His arrival took place on Tuesday night at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Tinubu was warmly received by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

The president’s absence during a time of economic and security crisis in the country had drawn criticism from opposition parties. They accused him of abandoning the nation while it was facing significant challenges. Some opposition leaders argued that there was no justification for embarking on a private visit when the country was in dire need of attention and action.
