Tinubu Receives Goodwill Messages from UK and US

Nigeria’s newly inaugurated president, Bola Tinubu, has received an outpouring of goodwill messages from various countries worldwide.

According to a statement released by Tinubu’s aide, Tunde Rahman, the messages came from countries such as the United Kingdom, United States, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Brazil, South Korea, Israel, Cape Verde, Somalia, and Nicaragua.

Special envoys and heads of missions from these countries presented the letters of goodwill to Tinubu.

Richard Montgomery, the UK High Commissioner to Nigeria, presented letters from British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, King Charles III, and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

The US delegation, led by Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Marcia Fudge, congratulated Tinubu and engaged in a brief bilateral discussion with him.

Likewise, the South Korean delegation delivered an invitation letter from President Yoon Suk Yeol to Tinubu, inviting him to visit their country. The delegation also held discussions with the president to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral ties.

A delegation from Saudi Arabia conveyed a goodwill message from the Saudi Royal House to the Nigerian president.

A special envoy of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida paid a visit to Tinubu, extending support and fellowship.

Similarly, a representative of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Tinubu and expressed eagerness to collaborate with Nigeria in the field of fintech.

Tinubu, who was inaugurated as the 16th democratically elected president of Nigeria on Monday, continues to receive warm wishes and support from nations across the globe.
