Award-winning Nigerian singer, Simi Kosoko, recently shared a story about her encounter at a passport office in Lagos. Taking to her Instagram page, the wife of Adekunle Gold recounted an incident where she faced potential denial of entry due to her attire.

According to Simi, she was instructed to leave and change her outfit before being allowed inside the passport office. Despite her celebrity status, the officials remained firm and unwavering in their stance regarding her clothing.

In addition to the dress code issue, Simi mentioned that she was required to remove her nosering and earrings as well.

She said, “I went to the passport office to get my passport done and when I reached the gate, they said I should go back because I am indecently dressed.“

I look myself up to down, and asked, can you see anything in my body that is indecent? He said he cannot see, but I should go back and wear something more ‘down’.”
