Inspired by the life of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC), the film celebrates his bravery, valiant spirit and honors his invaluable sacrifice during the Kargil War of 1999, at the age of 24.

Based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra who was an officer of the Indian Army, posthumously awarded with the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest and most prestigious award for valour, for his actions during the 1999 Kargil War in Kashmir between India and Pakistan.

The film at one point was titled Yeh Dil Maange More which was the message of Kargil War Vikram Batra, on whom the biopic is made. Sidharth Malhotra will play the lead a military officer for the second time after Aiyaary 2018.
