Jibrin Isah Echocho, the Senator representing Kogi East Senatorial District, expressed his belief on Saturday that the state-of-the-art facilities at the Anyigba Area Command Headquarters would greatly improve policing in Kogi East.
This statement came as he officially inaugurated the Command Headquarters, a project he personally financed as part of his efforts to address the growing insecurity in the region.
During the unveiling ceremony, attended by prominent figures including top security officials, politicians, and traditional leaders, Senator Echocho commended the police force for their dedication to safeguarding the lives and property of the citizens. He stressed that security is a collective responsibility, underscoring his commitment to the community’s safety by funding this state-of-the-art facility.
The Senator emphasised that the Anyigba Area Command Headquarters would serve as a crucial center for coordinating law enforcement efforts in the area. He added, “We will continue to invest in security to ensure the availability of modern equipment for fighting crime and maintaining law and order. This infrastructure undoubtedly supports the police in creating a safer and more secure environment for the residents of Anyigba and the broader society.”
