Security Forces Liberate Hostages and Apprehend Kidnapping Suspects in Taraba

In Taraba State, the Nigerian Army‘s 6 Brigade Garrison successfully apprehended two individuals believed to be involved in kidnapping activities.

Additionally, they conducted a rescue operation in Jalingo, the state capital, where two kidnap victims were liberated from captivity near the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) area.

Brigadier General Frank Etim, the Brigade Commander, confirmed the operation and issued a statement on Monday. The troops swiftly responded to credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the state metropolis.

Acting on the information, the troops carried out a raid on the terrorists’ hideout, resulting in the arrest of Mr. Awwal Bobo, aged 32, and Mr. Sallau Abdul, aged 33.

The rescued victims, identified as Mrs. Fauziyya Yusuf and Mr. Abdulsallam Abubakar, were safely freed from the clutches of their captors.

Brigadier General Etim mentioned that while some suspects managed to escape upon noticing the approaching troops, efforts are underway to track down and apprehend these fleeing criminals.
