This disclosure comes as more videos and evidence of Sam Larry’s assault on Mohbad continue to surface, causing a significant stir in the music industry.
The incident, which has shaken the industry, originated from a disturbing video showing the harassment and assault of Mohbad. In the footage, Mohbad can be seen sitting on a wheelchair at a movie video shoot, accompanied by fellow artist Zlatan.
In the video, Sam Larry is seen assaulting Mohbad from behind, with Zlatan eventually intervening to stop the altercation. The incident deeply troubled fans and the public, leading to calls for accountability and justice.
Adding to the controversy, an online document emerged indicating that the late Mohbad had filed a petition with the Nigerian police against Sam Larry. The petition, dated June 2023, detailed the harassment and assault Mohbad experienced during the music video shoot with Zlatan Ibile.
Earlier reports had suggested that Sam Larry had been arrested in connection with the assault. However, subsequent reports clarified that he had been invited for questioning but had not yet been arrested, as confirmed by Oluniyi Ogundeyi, the spokesperson for the Lagos Annex of the FCID.
Ogundeyi stated that the reports of Sam Larry’s arrest were false and completely untrue, emphasizing that neither Naira Marley nor Sam Larry had been arrested.
