Celebrated Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Rita Dominic Anosike, is commemorating the posthumous birthday of her dear mother.
In an Instagram post, Rita shared heartfelt photos of her mother and conveyed a birthday wish to her, recognizing that it has been 23 years since her passing.
She expressed her hope that she and her siblings have succeeded in making their mother proud, while also offering a prayer for her mother to rest in peace.
“Posthumous birthday wish to my late mum.
We lost you 23 years ago and we hope we have made you and continue to make you and Daddy proud. Keep resting in peace Mum, till we meet to part no more”.
This is not the first occasion in which the renowned actress has conveyed a posthumous birthday message to her mother.
A year ago, Rita Dominic expressed the deep sense of longing she and her siblings feel for their mother, emphasizing that she remains in their thoughts and hearts even two decades after her departure.
Rita Dominic encouraged her mother to dance and sing alongside the angels, assuring her that they will partake in a joyous celebration when they reunite.
Recently, Rita Dominic and her husband, Fidelis Anosike, held a memorial service for his deceased parents and brother.
The couple organized a memorial service for Fidelis Anosike’s late mother, as well as his late father, Elias Mordi Anosike, who passed away 42 years ago, and his late brother, Benjamin Chukwudi Anosike, who passed away 32 years ago.
The service took place on Sunday, August 27th, 2023, at Immanuel Church in Umueri, Anambra State. Rita shared video clips from the service.
