Residents in the FCT Engage in Looting of NEMA Warehouse

Residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Nigeria have engaged in the looting of a warehouse belonging to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). The incident occurred in the Karimo area of the FCT, Abuja, on Sunday morning.

Amidst the current economic hardship faced by the country, the residents took advantage of the situation and ransacked the NEMA warehouse, making off with foodstuffs and other items.

In response to the looting, the Nigeria Police Force has deployed personnel to the area to disperse the looters and secure the premises. The spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident and assured that the situation is now under control.

The incident highlights the growing desperation and frustration caused by the economic challenges in Nigeria. Authorities are working to address these issues and maintain law and order in the affected areas.
