Promoted Officers Advised by COAS to Be Prepared for Greater Responsibilities

Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, has advised the newly decorated Brigadier Generals to be ready for higher responsibilities, considering their promotion as a recognition of their hard work and dedication.

The charge was given during the investiture ceremony held at the Army Headquarters in Abuja, as stated in a press release by Maj.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations.

Lt.-Gen. Lagbaja acknowledged the efforts of the newly promoted senior officers in justifying their elevation and suitability for the new rank. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of integrity and loyalty to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the President, and the Nigerian Army.

Furthermore, the COAS directed the officers to operate within the bounds of the law, ensuring the implementation of his Command’s Philosophy of transforming the Army into a well-trained, equipped, and highly motivated force, dedicated to fulfilling constitutional responsibilities within a joint environment.
