Alhaji Shehu Othman, a former commissioner of Benue State, has passed away at the age of 91.
He hailed from Keana in Nasarawa State and passed away on Wednesday at the Trust Charitos Hospital in Jabi, Abuja.
The family has announced his demise and stated that the late statesman will be laid to rest on the same day after the Zuhur prayer at the National Mosque in Abuja. The family expressed their submission to the will of Allah and shared a heartfelt statement announcing his passing.
The Janaza prayer, a funeral prayer in Islam, was scheduled to take place at the National Mosque in Abuja after the Zuhur prayer. The burial ceremony followed at the Gudu Cemetery.
Alhaji Shehu Othman, born on June 26, 1932, held the prestigious title of Magajin Garin Keana until his passing. Throughout his career, he served in various cabinet portfolios and held several federal board appointments. May his soul rest in peace.
