Renowned singer and award-winning superstar, Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P, has expressed his commitment to assisting the ailing veteran actor, Mr. Ibu.
In a recent plea, Mr. Ibu reached out to the public for assistance as he confronts a health condition that could potentially result in the amputation of his leg.
In a poignant video posted on his Instagram page, the veteran actor shared that he has been unwell for several weeks and has been receiving medical care in a hospital. He revealed that his doctors have informed him that amputation may be necessary if all other options are exhausted.
Appealing for prayers and support, Mr. Ibu made his bank account details public in the video. Offering further clarification, his daughter, Jasmine Okafor, explained that her father’s health is not improving, and their family’s financial resources have been depleted, hence the public appeal. She implored anyone who could assist in facilitating his treatment abroad to come forward.
Peter, taking to his own Instagram page, expressed his belief that Nollywood legends deserve better lives. He emphasized that it is time for people to demonstrate their love for Mr. Ibu, who has brought joy to our screens throughout the years. Encouraging his fans to join him, he pledged his unwavering support for the veteran actor.
