The wives of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, have set aside their previous drama and come together to warmly welcome their husband’s new wife into the palace. According to a report by Kemi Filani, the Ooni recently married his sixth wife, Elizabeth Akinmuda, who had her traditional entry into the palace yesterday evening.
Videos circulating online captured the moment when the Ooni’s first wife, Olori Mariam, and Olori Ronke, who had been ignoring each other at a previous event, were seen sitting together in support of the newest couple. Their demeanor had noticeably changed, as they wore happy expressions and engaged in friendly conversations.
Another video showed Olori Ronke dancing joyfully with the newlywed bride, demonstrating a positive and harmonious atmosphere among the wives.
