One resident was injured at Ilupeju, a well-known area in Lagos State as a building collapsed in the early hours of Wednesday, July 13, at about 1:07 am.

Sources confirmed that the building is around the rail line in the area. hearing from one of the residents, He said;

“Yes, a building collapsed at the Oju Irin (rail line) area during the early hours of today.”

Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, said the structure was an abandoned two-storey building that collapsed to ground zero.

According to LASEMA, the investigation revealed that the incident occurred at about 12:45 am due to the ageing of the structure.
