On Thursday morning in the Shogunle area of Ikeja, an accident occurred involving a moving train and a Lagos state Staff bus. The accident resulted in several individuals sustaining injuries.

Eyewitnesses reported that the blue staff bus was attempting to cross the train tracks while the train was in motion. The magnet on the train caught the bus at the PWD bus stop and pulled it to a stop in Shogunle.

Eyewitnesses also alleged that the bus driver was being stubborn and refused to stop at the level Crossing when instructed to do so. According to Babs, who witnessed the accident, the keepers of NRC at the level Crossing attempted to stop the driver from passing because of the incoming train, but he refused. The driver believed that he could pass before the train arrived, which led to the accident.
