Four Nigerian artists have earned nominations for the 2023 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards. Among them are Burna Boy, Tems, Ayra Starr, and Asake.

Burna Boy, who has already achieved a Grammy win, received nominations in multiple categories including Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Video Director of the Year, Viewer’s Choice, and Best International Act.

Tems, another Grammy-winning artist, secured nominations for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration, and Viewer’s Choice.

On the other hand, both Asake and Ayra Starr earned individual nominations. Asake will be competing in the Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act category, while Ayra Starr will face off against Burna Boy in the Best International Act category.
