Nigerian man refuses to get a job to assist his student wife after they relocated to the UK

A Twitter user has narrated how a Nigerian man, out of pride, refused to get a job to assist his student wife after they relocated to the UK.

According to the Twitter user @oegbe, the wife gained admission to study abroad, and the husband relocated with her as a dependant.

However, since they arrived in the UK, the man has refused to get a job to assist his wife, insisting that he cannot do “anyhow” job.

It was learned that the wife’s parents, who are both retirees, are responsible for paying their rent and other expenses from Nigeria, since the husband refused to work to support his student wife.

Narrating the incident on the micro-blogging platform, @oegbe wrote,

“Some tory dey weak person. Married couple both resigned from their Jobs in , relocated to the U.K. Wife as a student, husband as dependant, man refused to work in U.K (I can’t do anyhow job), then wife’s parents (both pensioneers) paying couples house rent+bills steady from Nigeria”.
