Davido, the acclaimed singer and philanthropist, has retracted his support for a physically challenged pure water seller who gained attention in recent days.
As reported by Vistanaij Media, comedian Brain Jotter had appealed to well-meaning Nigerians for assistance on behalf of the physically challenged lady he encountered while on his way to sell his wares. The lady expressed her interest in makeup and explained that she needed funds to purchase the necessary equipment to start her business. Touched by her story, the comedian generously gifted her N400k, as she hails from Osun State.
However, to everyone’s surprise, it was later revealed that the lady had deceived the public by presenting herself as a female when, in fact, she is male.
Davido, who had taken an interest in her case and had reached out to his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, for assistance, has now made a U-turn. In a tweet, he expressed that they had been scammed and called for the withdrawal of support for the individual in question.
