Makinde Warns PMS Officials of Accountability for Misconduct

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has issued a stern warning to officials of the Park Management System (PMS), stating that his administration will hold them responsible for any criminal acts committed by their members.

During the inauguration of the PMS officials led by Alhaji Tomiwa Omolewa, Governor Makinde emphasized the importance of upholding law and order in the state. He made it clear that any individual who engages in illegal activities will be held accountable for their actions.

Represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Olusegun Olayiwola, Governor Makinde stressed that his administration will not tolerate any breach of peace. He called upon the newly sworn-in executive members of the PMS to be proactive in identifying and addressing potential issues that could lead to violence.

Governor Makinde further assured the officials of his administration’s ongoing support and urged them to recognize the importance of parks as spaces for recreation, relaxation, and community gatherings. He emphasized the need to maintain accountability in park management and to prevent unlawful activities such as the consumption of illegal substances.
