Nollywood celebrities are coming together to support Lekan Olatunji as he mourns the loss of his beloved wife.
The Yoruba actor announced the sad news of his wife’s passing on Thursday. Reports online revealed that the actor had to cancel a scheduled shoot for the day due to this tragic event.
In a poignant message, Lekan Olatunji acknowledged the unfathomable ways of God and shared that his wife had passed away after undergoing surgery for which they had spent a considerable amount of money.
“Unquestionable God,” he wrote.
In another post, he reflected on how his wife had accepted him 16 years ago, bringing him closer to God and helping him stay focused. He expressed deep sorrow that despite her promise to take good care of their children, fate had unexpectedly taken her away.
The actor, profoundly affected by this loss, vowed to love his wife forever and pleaded with her not to abandon their children.
“U accepted me d way I was 16 yrs ago. U taught me how to be closer to God and he focused. You promised to take good care of my kids which you are doing. Tragically, Lekan Olatunji’s wife’s passing follows closely after his own near-death experience in a car accident a year ago.
The actor had previously shared a video from his hospital bed, showing bandages on his head and arms, indicating the severity of the accident. A source confirmed that he had miraculously survived the horrifying incident.
In response to the news, Lekan’s colleague, Bimbo Akisanya, expressed her gratitude to God for sparing his life. She emotionally shared how she was brought to tears upon seeing distressing photos from the accident scene.
