Lai Mohammed says: Buhari in safe condition, hale and hearty


Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has reaffirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari, is receiving adequate attention from his medical team in London.

Mohammed, who simply put it that “the President is hale and hearty, told State House Correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at Aso Villa on Wednesday that President Buhari is in “very competent hands” in London, adding that there should be no cause for alarm.
Reiterating his position on Mr. President’s condition, Lai Mohammed said, “Once again, I want to make myself very clear on the issue of Mr. President. He is in very competent hands and there is no cause for alarm.”
The Daily Times recalls that Buhari left Nigeria on May 7 for medical treatment in London.
On the state of the 2017 budget which the National Assembly has transmitted to the Executive for Mr. President’s assent, the minister explained that there is concerted effort by all the ministers to work with the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udoma Udoma, to reconcile the 2017 budget.
According to him, “On the issue of budget, it is being reconciled and we are all coordinating with the Minister of Budget and National Planning”.
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) received the official copy of the 2017 Appropriation on May 19.
