During the 7th and 8th joint convocation ceremony of the Federal University Dutsinma in Katsina State, the Chancellor, King (Dr) Dandeson Douglas Jaja, expressed deep concern over the security challenges plaguing the institution.

Jaja revealed that the university’s main campus is situated in a volatile area prone to kidnappings and attacks by bandits.

Due to these security risks, the university is unable to utilize its main campus facilities. Jaja called upon the Federal Government and other stakeholders to take decisive action in addressing these concerns. He emphasized that the security challenges faced by the Federal University Dutsinma demand urgent attention and resolution.

Jaja further conveyed his message, stating, “Mr. President, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, while I do not intend to burden you with a lengthy speech, it is essential to inform you that FUDMA is confronted with severe security challenges. The main campus of the university is located approximately 25km away from the take-off campus, situated in a volatile area vulnerable to kidnappers and bandit attacks.”

The Chancellor’s remarks shed light on the significant impact of insecurity on the operations of the Federal University Dutsinma and highlight the urgent need for effective security measures to safeguard the institution and its members.
