The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has taken the decision to dismiss his Commissioner for Land, Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, along with another aide.

The action was prompted by a viral video in which Commissioner Kibiya was recorded making alleged threatening statements concerning the final verdict of the election petitions tribunal.

In the video, Kibiya was reported to have declared, “We will kill anybody who dares to tamper with our hard-earned victory at the elections tribunal.” This statement generated significant concern and distress in and around the city, leading to widespread calls for his immediate prosecution as a deterrent against potential acts of violence.
