Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has called on the police authorities to uncover the mysteries surrounding the death of the fast-rising music star, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, the governor emphasized that justice is the minimum owed to the deceased and his family, achievable only through a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of his death and the subsequent revelations.
Governor Oyebanji’s remarks come as Ekiti youths plan to hold a procession in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, to mourn the late singer and demand justice for him. The governor acknowledged Mohbad as a talented singer who, at the age of 27, had already made a significant mark in the entertainment industry with numerous hit songs. He expressed deep regret over the singer’s untimely death and the surrounding circumstances.
Governor Oyebanji extended his condolences to Mohbad’s immediate and extended family, as well as his fans worldwide, while urging the Nigeria Police to thoroughly investigate the matter and ensure justice is served.
The statement concluded by reaffirming their condolences and emphasizing the demand for a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
