Governor Fubara explains Rivers’ endorsement of Akpabio and Abbas for NASS leadership

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has officially announced the state’s support for Senator Godswill Akpabio as Senate President and Tajudeen Abbas as Speaker of the House of Representatives, aligning with the preferred choices of the All Progressives Congress.

The declaration was made during a meeting between Governor Fubara and the elected National Assembly members from Rivers State at the Government House in Port Harcourt. The governor emphasized that the decision to support these candidates is in the best interest of Nigeria.

The 10th National Assembly is set to be inaugurated on June 13, 2023, under the presidency of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
