Funke Akindele secured the top two positions with her box office hits, Battle on Buka Street and Omo Ghetto The Saga. These movies captivated audiences and achieved tremendous commercial success, solidifying her position as a leading force in the Nigerian film industry.

Following closely behind was The Wedding Party, a film produced by Mo Abudu and directed by Kemi Adetiba, which claimed the third spot. Despite this remarkable accomplishment, Funke Akindele graciously acknowledged the role of God in her success.
