The Forum of Ethnic Youth Presidents in Nasarawa State has expressed concerns regarding the recent establishment of the Nomad Vigilante Group by Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural organization.
During a press conference held in Lafia on Tuesday, the forum called upon the Federal Government to take immediate action and proscribe the newly formed group, citing suspicions surrounding its establishment.
Comrade Dauda Yileni, the president of the Forum, emphasized the importance of vigilance and caution due to potential security risks associated with the activities of the vigilante group.
Furthermore, the Forum demanded the immediate redeployment of all heads of conventional security agencies who attended the group’s inauguration in Lafia on January 17th. The forum expressed concern over the perceived endorsement of the vigilante group by these security officials.
Comrade Yileni also stressed the significance of equipping security agencies with adequate resources and providing training to enhance intelligence gathering capabilities.
