Former Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government Area in Oyo State, Mr Bimbo Omiyale, has passed away.
Reports indicate that Omiyale succumbed to an undisclosed illness after several days of battling with it.
His health had deteriorated to the point where he was admitted to the hospital, and he sadly passed away on Sunday. Omiyale has already been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic customs.
Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye, the former Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Oyo State, confirmed the politician’s demise. He used the occasion to call on Governor Seyi Makinde to adhere to the Supreme Court’s ruling by settling all outstanding entitlements of former ALGON members.
The passing of Mr Bimbo Omiyale has left a void that will be deeply felt by his political colleagues and those who were close to him.
