Expansion of Team: Makinde Appoints Additional Aides in Oyo State

In a recent development, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has given his approval for the appointment of several Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Board Chairmen across various portfolios, Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.

The announcement was made through a letter signed by the Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, and a copy of the letter was made available to DAILY POST by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

Dated November 29, 2023, the letter stated that Mr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, will assume the role of Special Adviser to the Governor on media in addition to his current portfolio.

Governor Makinde urged the newly appointed individuals to carry out their duties with dedication and loyalty to the state.

Among the appointees mentioned in the letter were Oloye Suraj Abiodun as Special Adviser (Education Intervention), Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran as Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and Dr. Gbola Adetunji as Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS (OYSACA).

Other appointments included Alhaji Murtala Ahmad as Special Assistant (Community Relations) I, Arewa Community, Nwosu Innocent as Senior Special Assistant (Community Relations) 2, Igbo Community, Saka Moshood Olawale as Senior Special Assistant (OYSIEC), Hon. Yemi Taiwo as Chairman of the Oyo State Library Board, and Hon. Rauf Adekunle as Chairman of the Oyo State Pension Board.

The letter also announced the appointment of Mr. Rahman Abiodun Abdulrahim as Chairman of the Education Trust Fund, Hon. Atilola M.O. as Chairman of the Oyo State Scholarship Board, Hon. Akinsete Olakunle as Special Adviser on Housing and Urban Development, and Hon. Simeon Oyeleke as Special Adviser on Budget and Economic Planning.

The remaining appointments mentioned in the letter are Mrs. Aderonke Adedayo as Special Adviser for General Intervention & Donor Agencies, Hon. Samuel Ademola Adejumobi as Special Adviser on Legislative Matters, Alhaji Omokunmi Mustapha as Special Adviser on Political Matters, Hon. Abideen Tokunbo Adeaga as Director General of the Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Hon. Mufutau Ogunremi as Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals, and Hon. Ramota Agberemi Dabo as Senior Special Assistant on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
