Enugu APC Appeals to Nigerians for Patience with Tinubu Administration

The Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appealed to Nigerians to maintain their trust in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This appeal was made during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Enugu, as stated in a communique issued by the party.

The communique, signed by various party officials including the state chairman, Barr Ugochukwu Agballah, expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s bold policy initiatives and programs aimed at addressing the socioeconomic and security challenges currently faced by the nation. The stakeholders called for patience and cooperation from Nigerians to support the administration in bringing about positive changes for the betterment of the country.

The communique also commended Vice President Sen. Kashim Shettima, national chairman Dr. Umar Ganduje, Chief Emma Enukwu (National Deputy Chairman, South), and Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu for their efforts in restoring discipline and party unity in Enugu State APC and across the country.

Furthermore, the stakeholders congratulated Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State for his electoral victory and expressed gratitude for his unwavering support to APC in Enugu State and the Southeast region. They also extended congratulations to Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State for his Appeal Court victory and affirmed their support for his leadership.

However, the party rejected the local government election timetable released by the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC). The APC expressed strong objections to what they perceived as activities designed to undermine opposition parties. They also criticized ENSIEC for alleged disenfranchisement of APC candidates and the conduct of the last local government election, which they deemed a charade. The party stated that they have an ongoing court case against ENSIEC and will address the public on their final stance regarding the proposed local government elections in the state.

The stakeholders concluded by congratulating their candidates who pursued electoral cases through the courts, particularly Oby Aji, the victorious House of Representatives candidate in the Igboeze North/Udenu Federal Constituency.
