City were the better side throughout the game, with Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea producing save after save to hide the shame of his leaky defence.

City were well structured, and they were winning the ball back well in midfield, with an insistence in playing like a well oiled unit.

After the first half, which didn’t have star player Cristiano Ronaldo in the matchday squad, Guardiola’s side upped the tempo in the second half, and United struggled to keep up.

When the visitors pressed, it became a normal sight for United’s defence to be breached.
