In the statement, Ozoani categorically denies the accuracy of the report, stating that it is false and misleading. He explicitly states that he has neither acted for nor represented Benedict Peters or any other individual connected to the case.
Ozoani emphasizes that his presence in the United Kingdom during the court proceedings was purely coincidental. He attended the proceedings out of personal interest in the high-profile case involving the former Nigerian Minister of Petroleum.
Furthermore, Ozoani asserts that he did not engage in any discussions with journalists or offer any views regarding the case or its proceedings.
In light of the injurious publication, Ozoani is consulting with English lawyers to take appropriate legal action to address the false report and safeguard himself from any further harm caused by the speculative claims.
