Eid-el-Maulud: Benue Speaker Sends Congratulations to Muslims

The Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Aondona Dajoh, has extended his warm congratulations to Muslims throughout the country on the occasion of the Eid-el-Maulud celebration.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Speaker also offered his prayers for the Muslim community.

His statement conveyed, “On behalf of myself, my family, and the 10th Assembly, I am sending my heartfelt Eid wishes to all of you today. May your celebrations be filled with happiness and tranquility. May God accept all the good deeds you have undertaken, and may you find forgiveness for any wrongdoings. May His grace and favour accompany you in all your endeavors.”

“Congratulations on the commemoration of the birth of the Great Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him),” he continued. “May we always walk the righteous path, the one blessed by Allah.”

The Speaker took the opportunity to remind everyone that, as they observe the Prophet’s birth, they should also remember that their state is in need of their prayers and collective efforts to combat insecurity and pave the way for development. He stressed the importance of citizens being law-abiding and supportive of the government, considering it a civic duty to not undermine the government’s commendable efforts to enhance their quality of life.

He concluded with a wish for the day to fulfill everyone’s desires, assuring that the House will persist in crafting quality legislation for the better governance of the state.
