Deyemi Okanlawon writes an open letter to Thaddeus Attah, quizzes the new HOR-elect

Deyemi Okanlawon has won the Silverbird Trailblazer award, which he expressed gratitude for in a post on his Instagram page. The 16th edition of the Silverbird awards was held on Friday, March 3rd, at the Convention Center, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. Governor Seyi Makinde won the Silverbird Man of the Year award. Deyemi thanked Silverbird TV as well as the public for the award and advised his fans to keep winning.

The award came a day after Deyemi Okanlawon was criticized online for attacking HOR-elect Thaddeus Attah. Vistanaij Media had reported that Deyemi wrote an open letter to Attah following Banky W’s defeat. In the letter, Deyemi stated that he voted for Banky W because he believed he would have been the best candidate for the job. He expressed concerns about the high rate of tribal sentiments, cyberbullying, and herd mentality on all sides played in the electoral process.

While congratulating Attah on his victory, Deyemi questioned his plans for Eti-Osa, as he had done thorough research about him and is yet to find anything about his plans for the area. Deyemi sent an open invitation to Attah to join him online for a live Instagram conversation to address concerns and respond to questions. Despite the criticism, Deyemi has expressed gratitude for winning the Trailblazer award
