Earlier, Davido had made an announcement regarding his intention to return to Nigeria for the candlelight event in honor of the late singer, Mohbad.
Being one of the first celebrities to express his grief over the loss of the former Marlian signee, Davido shared that he would be flying back to Nigeria this week to participate in the candlelight procession and tribute.
The candlelight procession is scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 21st, at 5 pm at the Lekki Phase 1 gate, followed by the tribute concert at 8 pm in Muri Okunola Park.
Davido received praise for demonstrating respect for the deceased despite his busy schedule, with many acknowledging his consistent leadership in such matters.
Notably, Davido had previously garnered mixed reactions from online users when he paid tribute to the late singer, Mohbad, during his Timeless tour in Manchester.
