Netizens and fans of Nigerian singer Oladips have been left in a state of confusion after news broke earlier today that he is actually alive.
Earlier this week, Oladips’ management released a statement through his Instagram page, announcing the rapper’s passing on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
However, Oladips’ colleague and close associate, Qdot, took to Instagram on Thursday to refute the death reports, stating that the rapper is indeed alive. Qdot shared a picture of Oladips and wrote, “@oladipsoflife, my gee is alive.”
This claim has sparked mixed reactions, with some questioning the credibility of the information. Some even speculate that Oladips may have staged his death to generate publicity for his newly released album, ‘Superhero Adugbo,’ which came out just hours ago.
Interestingly, actress Bukunmi Oluwashina has removed her tribute post to Oladips from her Instagram page.
One Tobi wrote “He’s Dead and that’s it ,even if he releases a statement himself ,since you people like to joke with death .This country is hard enough already to be catching baseless cruise”
One Ada wrote “There should be a penalty for this level of clout chasing if this is true”
One Chukwu wrote “You are officially dead to us . RIP Oladips. Promotion no suppose hard like this”
one Emma reacted “Sadly, people only show you love when you’re dead, I can’t blame him for this promotion strategy shah cuz they wouldn’t have stream his songs if he didn’t do like this”.
One Ozo wrote “If this is true then he went too extreme …..imagine using death as a joke??? Una wan Dey whine God???”
