Challenges of Organising Protests in Southwest Biafra Agitation Amid Economic Hardship – Tosin Adeoti Explains

Tosin Adeoti, a financial analyst, has expressed the difficulty in categorizing the recent protests against the escalating economic hardships and hunger in the country as Biafra agitation.

Adeoti shared his thoughts on the protests in the South West via a Facebook post on Monday.

The financial expert appreciates the nature of the protests in the South West and finds it challenging to label them as agitation for Biafra or as a response from the North. He remarks, “I like how the protests in the South West are forming. It would be difficult to call it agitation for Biafra or as the North fighting back. If the people who were shouting ‘idi bebere’ are the ones saying ‘we’re tired,’ then it’s difficult to term them as ‘sore losers.'”

Vistanaij Media previously reported that disgruntled youths in Oyo State took to the streets on Monday to protest the soaring cost of living, food inflation, and the prevailing economic hardships in the country. The protesters carried placards bearing messages such as ‘End food hike and inflation,’ ‘The poor are starving,’ and ‘Tinubu, don’t forget your promises,’ among others.
