The Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (CSC) has decided to terminate the employment of a security guard who was on the state government’s payroll due to alleged misconduct.

In a statement released by the CSC’s Information Officer, Saleh Umar, on Thursday, it was revealed that the security guard, Sanusi Ibrahim (Head of Security), was relieved of his duties after being found in serious violation of the Public Service Regulations 0327 (a) (i) – (xxix).

Following a thorough investigation, Sanusi Ibrahim was found guilty and admitted to his wrongdoing before the relevant committee in the Office of the Head of Civil Service.

As a result, the Commission upheld the decision to terminate his appointment during its meeting on February 6, 2024, which was chaired by Alh. Abubakar Usman.

During the same meeting, the Commission also reviewed a promotion case, a change of name request, and conducted interviews for 21 senior officers, recommending their appointment as Directors in the State Civil Service.

It should be noted that this dismissal is not the first of its kind, as the CSC had previously terminated the employment of two civil servants in August 2023 for financial fraud. Additionally, the Commission also terminated the appointment of Ibrahim Garba, who was associated with the state pension board, for a similar offense.
