Ayinde Reappointed as Chief of Staff, Salu-Hundeyin Appointed as New SSG by Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has made his first set of appointments, starting with the re-appointment of Tayo Ayinde as the Chief of Staff (CoS).

This announcement was made by Governor Sanwo-Olu via the state television on Thursday. Additionally, Barrister Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin has been appointed as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), succeeding Mrs. Folashade Jaji, the former Head of Service for Lagos State. Prior to her new role, Salu-Hundeyin served as the Lagos Commissioner for the National Population Commission (NPC).

Governor Sanwo-Olu is expected to announce further appointments to complete the State Executive Council in the near future. It has been reported that approximately 70 percent of the previous executive members will be retained in the second term cabinet.

In addition to the above appointments, Mr. Gboyega Soyanwo has been re-appointed as the Deputy Chief of Staff. Notable individuals expected to return include Gbenga Omotoso, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy; Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, the Commissioner for Housing; Engr Aramide Adeyoye, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructure; and Tokunbo Wahab, the Special Adviser on Education, among others.

However, there are indications that Tunji Bello, the Commissioner for Environment and former SSG, will not be returning as he is reportedly heading for a federal appointment in President Bola Tinubu’s administration in Abuja.
