A student from Premium Breed Secondary School in Nnewichi Nnewi, Anambra State, has achieved the remarkable feat of being crowned the top performer in Chemistry within the state. This outstanding accomplishment has earned him a coveted position as one of the six finalists chosen to represent Nigeria at the prestigious 2023 International Chemistry Olympiad, which will be held in Switzerland.

In a humble and gracious speech, Nwadinobi attributed his success to God, acknowledging the invaluable support and guidance provided by his teachers, as well as his unwavering dedication to his studies.

On Friday, at the State Secretariat Complex in Awka, the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, warmly received the team. She reiterated that Nwadinobi’s remarkable achievement serves as a testament to the State Government’s steadfast dedication to offering Anambra students every chance to excel academically, both nationally and internationally

Commending Nwadinobi and the school for their exceptional performance, Chuma-Udeh stressed the significance of maintaining a strong work ethic and unwavering commitment.

She urged them not to become complacent, emphasizing that the state eagerly anticipates their outstanding performance at the upcoming Olympiad.

Addressing the achievement, Ven Henry Nduka JP, the Education Secretary of the Anglican Diocese of Nnewi, highlighted that this accomplishment serves as a testament to the current administration’s dedication to fostering and encouraging academic excellence among its students.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the school, Canon Nwajide, the Principal, extended thanks to the state government for creating a conducive environment for the Anambra education sector. Additionally, he proudly announced that the school secured the top three positions at the state level of the competition.
