The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has officially declared vacant the seats of Tunji Olubunmi-Ojo and Tanko Sununu, who were appointed as ministers by President Bola Tinubu.
This declaration came following the receipt of resignation letters from both former lawmakers, each announcing their departure from the House.
In a separate development, the House also administered the oath of office to Salisu Majigiri. His swearing-in followed a Supreme Court ruling that declared him the rightful winner of the Mashi/Dutsi federal constituency seat in Katsina State, effectively dismissing a legal challenge against his election victory.
