Aaron Carter Biography

Aaron Charles Carter was an American rapper, singer, and actor. He was born on December 7, 1987, and passed away on November 5, 2022. He rose to prominence in the late 1990s as a pop and hip hop singer, establishing himself as a star among pre-teen and teenage audiences during the first years of the 21st century with his four studio albums. He rose to fame as a singer of these genres in the late 1990s.

Carter began performing publicly at the age of seven, and he released his debut album, titled simply Carter, in 1997, when he was just nine years old. The album went on to sell one million copies around the world. Shortly after the release of his second album, Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) (2000), which sold three million copies in the United States, Carter began making guest appearances on Nickelodeon and touring with the Backstreet Boys. Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) was Carter’s second studio album. Oh Aaron, Carter’s subsequent album, also achieved platinum certification, and the musician released Another Earthquake! in 2002, which would turn out to be his final studio album for the next 16 years. In 2003, he released a collection of his Most Requested Hits.

Carter has performed in a number of one-off shows in addition to making appearances on Dancing with the Stars and in the musicals Seussical and The Fantasticks both on Broadway and off-Broadway. In 2014, he came out with the single “Ooh Wee,” which featured the rapping talents of Pat SoLo. On April 1, 2016, Carter released the single “Fool’s Gold,” and in February of 2017, he released an extended play (EP) titled LV. The same-titled fifth studio album by him was released on February 16, 2018, under his own name.

Early life

Aaron Charles Carter was born on December 7, 1987 in the city of Tampa, Florida, which is also the location of the retirement home that his parents, Jane Elizabeth (née Spaulding) and Robert Gene Carter (1952–2017), managed. His family had its beginnings in Jamestown, New York, which is also the hometown of his older brother Nick, who is a member of the boy band Backstreet Boys. Along with his brother, he was blessed with three sisters: his twin sister Angel (who was also a model), B.J., and Leslie (1986–2012). While living in Florida, Carter received his education at both the Frank D. Miles Elementary School and the Ruskin School.

Personal life

Family

Carter and his then-fiancée Melanie Martin welcomed a boy into the world on November 22, 2021. Carter was a proud father. After losing custody of his kid, who was 10 months old at the time, Carter booked himself into treatment for his heroin addiction in September 2022.

Legal troubles

Carter was placed under arrest in Kimble County, Texas, on February 21, 2008, when he was pulled over for speeding and the authorities discovered a quantity of marijuana in his vehicle that was less than two ounces.

Carter was detained in Georgia on the 15th of July, 2017, on suspicion of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and marijuana offenses. Carter entered a plea of no contest to the charge of reckless driving on October 19, 2021. As a result of this, he was sentenced to probation and, among other terms, was mandated to conduct community service and pay a total of $1,500 in fines and court costs.

Carter was able to get a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, the Russian model Lina Valentina, on the 12th of August, 2019, after she allegedly threatened to knife him. Following an alleged incident of domestic abuse committed by Carter on March 29, 2020, his girlfriend Melanie Martin was detained in Los Angeles. A couple of months previously, Carter had a tattoo on his forehead that spelled out the name “Melanie.”

Sexuality and relationships

It was reported on September 18, 2006 that Carter was going to marry Kari Ann Peniche, who had previously held the titles of beauty queen and Playboy model. Later on, it was stated in US Weekly that Carter ended his engagement to Peniche, citing the fact that he proposed to her on the spur of the moment. In 2015, the two got back together.

Carter made his public announcement that he is bisexual on August 5, 2017, on the social media platform Twitter. Later that same year, on December 18, 2017, he appeared as a guest on the podcast LGBTQ&A to discuss both his professional life and his sexual orientation. However, he also claimed that he had only ever been in relationships with women, despite the fact that he had publicly acknowledged his bisexuality on at least one earlier occasion. He was romantically involved with a number of famous women, including Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan, among others.

Finances

Carter submitted a petition for bankruptcy on November 22, 2013, in order to discharge more than $3.5 million in debt, the majority of which was comprised of taxes that were owing on the money made during the height of his success. According to the petition, Carter owes the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) 1,300 thousand dollars in past taxes based on his income in the year 2003. In 2014, Carter completely paid off all of his outstanding tax debt.

Carter closed on the acquisition of a house in Lancaster, California, in February of 2019.

Health

Carter made an appearance on The Doctors, a health-centered talk show that is syndicated, in September 2017 to discuss the public attention that was caused by his haggard look and the arrests that were tied to drugs. Carter did not suffer from cancer or other sexually transmitted disease, but he did have a candida infection, which can be an indication of a weaker immune system. This was discovered after a comprehensive set of tests and examinations revealed that he did suffer from these conditions. Carter did not test positive for any illegal drugs, but he did test positive for “a cocktail of benzodiazepines with opiates,” which is a potentially lethal combination of prescription pharmaceuticals. Carter stated that he took these medications to treat his anxiety and sleeplessness. At 6 feet tall (1.8 meters), he weighed only 115 pounds (52 kg) and had a body mass index of 17. He was hungry and underweight (a BMI of 18.5 to 25 is normal range). It was suggested that Carter participate in a drug treatment program and continue to receive medical attention.

Carter checked himself into the treatment facility known as Alo House, which is located in Malibu, California. He indicated that his condition had improved and that his weight was now 160 pounds (73 kg) in February of 2018.   Both Carter and his mother, Jane, made an appearance in the 2019 season of the reality series Marriage Bootcamp: Family Edition on WEtv. The main focus of the show is on utilizing non-traditional methods of treatment in an effort to mend broken relationships.

During a subsequent appearance on The Doctors in the year 2019, Carter said that he had been given a diagnosis of schizophrenia in addition to a diagnosis of bipolar illness.

Controversies

The relationship that Carter had with his siblings was volatile, and many of their fights have been documented on various forms of social media. Carter made allegations of sexual abuse against his sister Leslie, who had passed away in 2012 as a result of a drug overdose. He claimed that the abuse began when he was ten years old and ended when he was 13 years old, and that it occurred when Leslie would fail to take her prescribed medication for her bipolar disorder. The allegations were made in September 2019,and they are still being investigated. In addition to this accusation, he insinuated that his brother Nick had assaulted a female member of the family at some point in Nick’s life. Nick’s legal team denied the allegations, which came after Nick and their sister, Angel, sought restraining orders against Carter, who reportedly confessed that he had thoughts of killing Nick’s then-pregnant wife, Lauren Carter. In January of 2020, the German artist Jonas Jodicke tweeted that Carter was making unlawful use of his copyrighted artwork to market items. Jodicke’s message was directed toward Carter. Carter did provide a response. In an interview conducted after the event, Jodicke stated that he was “extremely amazed” by Carter’s reaction to the situation. In June of 2021, Carter made an agreement with Jodicke to pay him $12,500.

In March of 2020, Carter registered for a platform known as OnlyFans, which is commonplace in the adult entertainment sector. Carter started charging between $50 and $100 for each naked photo, which came out to $26 per month. While Queerty said that “the reviews of Aaron Carter’s OnlyFans page are in and they are not favorable,” PinkNews stated that “the pricing is expensive and the material is odd.”

In August of 2021, it was reported that Carter would be participating as a performer in the production of Naked Boys Singing in Las Vegas. Because he refused to get vaccinated against COVID-19, he was fired before the first episode of the show ever aired.

Boxing career

On June 11, 2021, Carter competed in an exhibition boxing battle against Lamar Odom, who had previously played in the NBA. Odom ended the fight with a knockout blow to Carter in the second round.

Death

On June 11, 2021, Carter faced up against Lamar Odom, a former NBA player, in a boxing exhibition. Carter’s opponent, Odom, had also spent time in the NBA. In the second round, Odom delivered a strike to Carter that resulted in a knockout and stopped the fight.
